In the summer months, high temperatures average a beautiful 75 to 80 degrees, with lows rarely dropping below 40 degrees. In the winter, highs average 30 to 40 degrees and lows average 10 to 20 degrees, which is ideal for those mountain winter sports. July is the average warmest month and January the coolest. Crowley Lake and June Lake enjoy a few months more warm summer weather than those at Mammoth Lakes. The area enjoys over 300 sunny days a year, so there is plenty of sunshine. Most precipitation generally occurs in February, and skiers will delight in the annual average of 385 inches of snow. In fact, very often, skiing can continue until July 4th!
